Nigerian Youths Mandate Goodluck Nwaneri to Join Politics Within One Week

Nigerian youths, under the umbrella of the Coalition of Patriotic Youth Leaders (COPYL) and the Forum of Civil Society Organizations for a Better Nigeria, have called on Chief Goodluck Nwaneri to join politics. They’ve given him a one-week ultimatum to consider their request and respond.
According to Comrade Rikki Nwajiofor, leader of the coalition, Chief Nwaneri is a beacon of transformational leadership and a role model for Nigerian youths. His exceptional service to humanity, particularly in education, youth empowerment, and community development, has made him an ideal candidate to represent the youth and civil society community in Imo State.
The coalition emphasized the need for visionary and selfless leaders to take charge of Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections. They believe Chief Nwaneri has the strength, wisdom, empathy, and passion to navigate Imo State through the challenges of governance, economic revival, and social transformation.
This call to action is part of the coalition’s efforts to promote youth participation in politics and community development. They aim to inspire other young Nigerians to follow in Chief Nwaneri’s footsteps and actively engage in politics.

“Distinguished Members of the Press, Esteemed Youth Leaders, Civil Society Advocates, and Fellow Patriots,
“We gather here today under the collective banner of the Coalition of Patriotic Youth Leaders, representing a broad spectrum of youth organizations and civil society organizations, to make a historic and patriotic call on Chief Goodluck Chidera Nwaneri, and all well-meaning Nigerian youth, to actively participate in politics and vie for political offices – an appeal rooted in the aspirations of our people, the cry of the downtrodden, and the urgent need for transformational leadership in all the states in Nigeria.
“It is part of the fundamental objectives of the Coalition of Patriotic Youth Leaders, and the Civil Society Community, to condemn the condemnable and commend the commendable in our society at all times, and at all levels.
“Many times, we have convened press conferences to attack bad governance and rebuke individuals whose actions or performances fall short of societal expectations. However, today, we have found good and tangible reasons to do slight detour to recognize and commend a deserving Young Philanthropist and a silent achiever of our time, by name Chief Goodluck Nwaneri. We strongly believe that societal transformation must be approached from two dimensions; fighting evil cum agents of darkness, and commending good deeds of patriotic leaders and citizens.
“It is in pursuit of the latter that the Coalition of Patriotic Youth Leaders and the Civil Society Community have identified the personality and great works of Chief Goodluck Chidera Nwaneri who stands very tall among his peers with unquenchable passion for Educational cum Youth empowerment and Community Development.
“We seek to use him and this gesture to incentivize and re-awaken citizens’ commitments to Community Services and National Development.
“Compatriots, in the history of nations, certain moments define the trajectory of a people’s destiny. Today in our beloved nation, we stand at such a defining moment where the call for political leaders, in the mould of the biblical Joshua, has become not only necessary but urgent. We have critically assessed the socio-political landscape of our dear nation and have come to the undeniable conclusion that we need young patriotic, selfless, and visionary leaders to takeover the political affairs in our various states. It is time for good and patriotic citizens to actively participate in politics and vie for political offices. In the words of a great Philosopher, Plato, “The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men”. According to Plato, “one of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors”.
“Compatriots, you will agree with us that most of our states need a Joshua to lead our people to the desired society of our dream; young and visionary leaders that will restore hope in governance; Build prosperous and peaceful States in Nigeria; Unite all ethnic and political divides for the common good; Ensure that the youth and women are given a strong voice in governance; Protect the lives and properties of the citizens; and ensure that our resources are evenly distributed and our allocations properly utilized for the common good of all.
“Standing on the above premises, we hereby make a Clarion Call on Chief Goodluck Nwaneri to consider and step into the political arena in Imo state as an anointed mandate and ambassador of the Youth, and representative of the Civil Society Community. Like Joshua, who led his people into the Promised Land, we believe that Chief Nwaneri has the strength, wisdom, empathy, and passion to navigate Imo state through the challenges of governance, economic revival, and social transformation. This is not just a political request – it is a call to duty. Imo State deserves visionary leadership, responsive governance, and a brighter future, and we believe that Chief Nwaneri has the required prowess. Chief Goodluck Nwaneri is hereby given a week to reflect on this mandate, cum marching order, and give us official response, which we believe would be positive.
“We assure him, and others that we shall periodically unveil to the nation ahead of the 2027 General Elections, that it will no longer be business as usual in our elections, as the Nigerian Youth and Organised Civil society shall ensure that the citizens’ votes must count, and mandates of the people must stand this time around.
Power, they say, belongs to the people, and we are going to translate this from mere words to concrete reality across the States of Nigeria and the FCT, come 2027.
“Fellow Nigerian Youth, let us always remember that the future belongs to those who dare to dream and act. Let us rise with one voice and demand the leadership that we deserve! Nigeria belongs to us; together, we shall make Nigeria the envy of other nations!
