Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has informed the club that he will leave this summer.
According to Sky Sports, Mbappe communicated his decision to the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, on Tuesday.
The terms of the Frenchman’s departure are yet to be finalised, as negotiations continue on whether Mbappe will leave for a fee or sacrifice his earnings.
PSG are expecting Mbappe to keep his word that he would never leave on a free transfer.
When an agreement is reached, both PSG and Mbappe will make an official announcement.
Real Madrid have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old, who is ready to take a pay cut to join the Spanish side, even though they are prepared to make him the highest-paid player in their history.
