Toke Makinwa has denied recent marriage rumors, assuring her fans that she’s still single. She clarified that her recent celebration was actually a thanksgiving ceremony to honor God, not a wedding.
Toke expressed gratitude for the love and prayers she’s received, acknowledging that her friends and family have been with her through thick and thin.
“I did not get married yesterday, I deeply appreciate all your love and prayers, I see how you all desire for me to settle down and God who is the author of time will do it when he thinks it is right. Yesterday was to honor God.”
She jokingly added that her parents received numerous calls about the supposed wedding, but she’s still very much single.
“Una don make my parents receive plenty calls but I know it’s all love, all their friends have called tayaaaaaa, I am very much still singuuuuuuuuuu 😂😂😂😂”
It seems Toke has been through a lot in her past relationships, including a highly publicized divorce from Maje Ayida in 2017.
She’s been open about her experiences and has even written about them in her book “On Becoming”.
