#ENDSWAT: Don’t invest any money into SWAT, end it now – Don Jazzy urges govt.

Mavins Records boss Don Jazzy has called for the immediate scrapping of the newly created police unit, Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).
The new police unit is a replacement of the now defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squads (SARS), following a nationwide protest against police brutality, extortion and harassment.
Don Jazzy, speaking after the Inspector-general of Police announcement of the creation of SWAT, condemned the new unit as unnecessary and should be terminated with immediate effect to avoid unnecessary expenses in setting up the unit.
The Mavin Records CEO in a post on his verified Twitter account said, “They should just end this SWAT now before it starts o.
“’Nobi’ tomorrow now they will say they spent money to do logo, spend money to do uniforms. Don’t spend any money o, end it now before it mature.”
