In a move aimed at providing relief to Nigerians during the festive period, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of its premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to N899.50 per litre.

According to a statement by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, the new price is effective immediately and is designed to alleviate transport costs during the holiday season.

This is the second price reduction by the refinery in less than a month, having previously lowered the price to N970 per litre on November 24.

In addition to the holiday discount, Dangote Refinery is also offering a special promotion that allows consumers to purchase one extra litre of fuel on credit for every litre bought on a cash basis, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

The refinery has underlined its commitment to ensuring Nigerians have access to premium quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally friendly, and engine-friendly.

With this development, Dangote Refinery is poised to revolutionize the petroleum industry in Nigeria, marking the end of the country being a dumping ground for substandard and blended imported products that have posed significant hazards to human health, machinery, and the environment.
