Singer Chris Brown has been released from police custody in Manchester after successfully reapplying for bail.
Brown, 36, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, stemming from an alleged attack on music producer Abraham Diaw at a luxury hotel in London.
According to reports, Brown is accused of striking Diaw with a bottle and then pursuing him across the club, punching and kicking him several times. The incident allegedly occurred on February 19, 2023, at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair.
Brown’s bail conditions include a £5 million security, residing at a specified UK address, and surrendering his passport to police. However, arrangements have been made for him to travel to Europe, the US, and Canada for his Breezy Bowl XX world tour, during which time his passport will be held by his lawyers.
The singer took to Instagram to share his excitement about being released, posting “FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!!” Brown’s trial is pending, and he must comply with the bail conditions set by the court.
