President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Godwin Emefiele for a second term as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The president wrote To the senate and the letter has been read seeking another term of 5years for the head of the Nation’s Apex Bank.
BREAKING: The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has just read a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari, reappointing the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, for a second term.

Emefiele was first appointed in 2014 by former president Goodluck Jonathan and was retained when Buhari came to office in 2015.
Mr Emefiele, before joining the CBN, spent over 26 years in commercial banking culminating in his tenure as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank PLC.
