Brig. General CFJ Udaya Declares “Youth Transformational Leadership Course” Open At NIPSS

The Acting Director General of the National Institute For Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS Kuru Brigadier General CFJ Udaya (rtd) plsc(+) mni, has declared the Youth Transformational Leadership Course, YTLC open at the Institute.

In an opening ceremony held at the research centre of the Institute the Acting Director General welcomed participants and encouraged them to take the opportunity serious and become agents of positive change after the training in their various communities and the country at large.

In his opening remark the president, Princeton Leadersip Forum Dr Chibuike Echem, plsc, welcomed the participants and thanked the institute for openining its arms for young Nigerians to tap from the wealth of knowledge in the institute adding that attending a course at the national institute will inspire young Nigerians to cause positive change in national development.

The Director of Studies, prof. O.J Para-Malam, mni, in her remarks commended the Princeton Leadership Forum (PLF) for initiating the laudable project for the Nigerian young people at the Institute.

She called on the participants to take the opportunity serious and demonstrate willingness to become agents of Transformational Change in the nation, as the national institute is the foremost policy formulation institute and think tank of the federal government.

The Chairman of the Course committee Prof. Sola Adeyanju, mni, told the participants that they leave the institute better and ready to impact to the growth and development of Nigeria.

YTLC

The YOUTH TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP COURSE (YTLC) is a two-weeks course that is conducted by the National Institute in collaboration with Princeton Leadership Forum (PLF). The course aims at training the youth to become transformational leaders.

And to prepare them for policy decision making that will aid their contribution to National development.

Participants are drawn from a diversity of stakeholders across Nigeria including representatives from relevant government agencies, Youth Associations, private sector organizations, political parties, research oriented think-tanks , development agencies among others.

The National Institute For Policy and Strategic was established in 1979 as a high-level Institute with the primary objective of serving as the nation’s foremost policy “think thank”, developing a crop of top-class technocrats of high intellectual capacity, who will conceptualize and anchor the implementation of innovative and dynamic policy initiatives and strategies critical for National development.
