Neymar must be feeling very positive for the first time in the last few days as the President of his native Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, publicly backed the PSG star over his accuser.
Neymar, who faces charges of sexual assault and a probe connecting publishing sensitive materials on social media, got the backing of Bolsonaro on Wednesday as the controversial politician said he hopes to hug the former Barcelona star.

“I hope to give Neymar a hug before the match,” stated Bolsonaro said at a farmers’ event in Goais state, close to the venue of a friendly match between Brazil and Qatar ahead of Copa America.
“He’s a boy. He’s in a difficult moment but I believe him,” he added.
An unnamed woman accused the 27-year-old of rape earlier this week, allegations the player has gone to great lengths to deny.
