APC Enugu: Group Pass Vote of Confidence On Ben Nwoye, Endorse Tony Ibekwe

As the Congresses of the All Progressives Congress APC draws closer, the caretaker committee leaders of the Party in Enugu West Senatorial Zone under the aegis of Progressives Leaders of APC Enugu West have endorsed Chief Tony Ibekwe as their sole Chairmanship candidate in the forth coming Zonal Congresses of the Party.

Speaking to Newsmen after their meeting on Tuesday in Enugu, the group which consists of all the ward, local Government, Zonal and State Executive caretaker committee chairmen members The Publicity Secretary of the Party, Chief Mrs Nneka Udeh, said, They arrived at Mr Tony Ibekwe because of his unalloyed, unending and undoubted commitment in the Party Affairs.

“Chief Tony Ibekwe has been a complete Party man, who is not just knowledgeable but also an astute Party man with an adroit dexterity in our Affairs”

“He has the track records, the Character and ingenuity to lead, which he has displayed severally”

Presenting Mr Ibekwe to the Forum, the State caretaker committee Publicity of the Party, Hon Chief Mrs Kate Offor, described him as a Leader of great repute.

She also called for an observation of a minute silent in honour of their deceased Zonal Vice caretaker committee vice chairman, Engnr Iyk Omenkeukwu, which was strictly adhered to.

“My brothers and Sisters, I present to you my brother, friend and Leader, Mr Tony Ibekwe to be considered aa our sole Chairmanship candidate for the forth coming Zonal Congresses of our great party”

“Like you all know, he has always been a Party man whose humility is equalled to none and his proclivity to promote the Party, has always been fascinating”

“I also want all of us to observe a minute of silence for our deceased zonal Vice Chairman, Engr Iyk Omenkeukwu, who would be laid to rest on Friday, 9th of July”

The Forum also passed a Vote of confidence on the Leadership of Dr Ben Nwoye, calling him an honorable Leader endowed with the Wisdom of biblical Solomon.

They also thanked his Leadership for zoning the State Chairmanship position to Enugu West Senatorial Zone, saying that, it is a sign that he is a distinguished democrat.

“We are fully in support of the Leadership of Barr Dr Ben Nwoye, who has been receiving series of insults on behalf of the Party and fighting tooth and nail for us to progress”

“We will always support his Leadership because, he has always believed in the grassroot and President Muhammadu Buhari’s bottom up approach in political Party Leadership”

“We thank him and his team for zoning the State Chairmanship position to our zone, we will always work to support and encourage his Leadership”

The caretaker committee leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC in Enugu West Senatorial Zone, also assured all the Party Members that they would scrutinise all the aspirants from the Zone and trim it to 2 and present to the State chairman for the General public to make their Choice.

“We have about 8 of our noble sons, contesting for the State Chairmanship position”

“It is a sign of the tremendous growth of the Party because, our zone have accepted the Party”

“We want to assure all and sundries that, we will trim the number of these our sons down to 2 after the ward Congresses and present them to the public for them, to make their Choice”

“We totally committed in promoting peace and unity of that currently exist in the Party”
