By giving, we remind ourselves that our lives are to be lived for others.

It is important to commend the popular artiste David Adeleke, a.k.a DAVIDO for his uncommon show of love and selfless service in the past week to celebrate his 29th birthday with a donation of 250m generated through donation from friends and fans with his own personal donation too.

That singular unusual act has shown how far we can go as a people in defense of our underserved. We must also remember that nobody chooses to be underprivileged – orphan, disabled and other social conditions that puts one to the background at the mercy of the society for survival.

The big lesson for everyone of us in this is how we begin to reflect on our journey of life and see a reason to be grateful to God for the grace and privilege.
