Video: Peter Obi Hailed After Clearing Kogi Highway Gridlock

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, recently received widespread acclaim for his leadership skills when he intervened in a clash between police and lorry drivers on a Kogi highway.

The incident began when police shot out the tire of a trailer driver, prompting other drivers to block the road in protest.

Upon arriving at the scene, Obi got out of his car and approached the protesters. His presence instantly lifted the tense atmosphere, with people from different ethnic groups – Igbos, Yorubas, and Hausas – chanting “Our President!”.

Obi then met with the distressed driver, who was crying over his damaged tire. Instead of continuing to lament, the driver began taking selfies with Obi, and soon others joined in.

The driver, reportedly saying “Who am I for Obi to beg me?” in Hausa, promptly cleared the road, easing the traffic congestion. This incident showcases Obi’s ability to connect with people and resolve conflicts peacefully.

Many have praised Obi’s actions, with some commenting on how he listens to people’s concerns and resolves issues. Others have contrasted his approach with that of President Tinubu, highlighting the differences in their leadership styles.
