VIDEO: How Fani-Kayode praised wife months before marriage collapsed

A video of Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, lavishing Precious Chikwendu, his now estranged wife, with praise months before their marriage hit the rock, has begun to draw attention online.

The old video started to attract public interest hours after the ex-minister had said that he covered Chikwendu’s “madness”  over the past seven years to protect the future of their children.

In the less than four-minute footage, which was shared on his Instagram page in May, on the occasion of Chikwendu’s birthday, Fani-Kayode had lauded his wife’s wonderful personality, while reaffirming his love for her.

He had also prayed for his wife of six years while appreciating her beauty.

“You’re looking wonderful. You’re looking even more beautiful than when l first met you and like I always say, you’re a wonderful, wonderful person,” he had said.

“You have gone from strength to strength and God will continue to keep and protect you. By God’s grace, this time next year, things would even be better than they are today.

“On behalf of our four sons, entire household, we congratulate you. And to let you how much we love and appreciate you. Congratulations.”

TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how their marriage hit the rock over allegations of domestic violence.

On Saturday, a viral video of the two engaging in a heated exchange had surfaced online, alleging that the ex-minister abused Chikwendu.

Fani-Kayode had, however, dismissed the claim, noting that he was only trying to prevent her from filming him after catching her in bed with another man some days earlier.
