Passengers aboard American Airlines Flight AA3023 were forced to evacuate on Saturday at Denver International Airport after a fire broke out due to a landing gear malfunction.
The airline said the Boeing 737 MAX 8, scheduled to depart for Miami International Airport, experienced a maintenance issue with one of its tires while preparing for takeoff.
All 173 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated.
According to U.S. media reports, one passenger sustained a minor injury and was taken to the hospital, while five others received treatment at the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed the incident was linked to a “possible landing gear issue” and has launched an investigation.
