U-17 WWC: Moshood’s Late Goal Sends Flamingos to Quarterfinals Against USA

The Nigerian Flamingos are on fire! They just defeated the Dominican Republic 1-0 in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, maintaining their perfect record. Shakirat Moshood scored the winning goal in the 89th minute, her fourth goal in three appearances for Nigeria.

This victory means the Flamingos top their group, three points ahead of second-placed Ecuador. They’ll now face the USA in the quarter-finals on Saturday. Interestingly, Nigeria defeated the Americans at the same stage two years ago in India.
