TG Omori battles kidney failure, undergoes transplant after consuming fake drinks at nightclubs
Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori Jesam, known professionally as TG Omori or Boy Director, is battling kidney failure after consuming fake drinks at nightclubs last December, which led to a recent kidney transplant.
On Tuesday, Omori revealed via his X handle that he underwent a kidney transplant on Monday. “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” he wrote.
However, he later disclosed on Wednesday that the kidney transplant, performed at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos on Tuesday, was unsuccessful.

Mr Omori expressed his determination to survive, saying, “I don’t want to die.” He also shared that he had to enter the operating room three times for the procedure.
In an Instagram story late yesterday, Mr Omori shared a picture with the caption, “Keep my spirit alive.” He also posted, “I don’t wanna die.”
Mr Omori has requested prayers following the failed transplant.
Last year, he revealed on his X handle that he had been hospitalised due to consuming contaminated drinks, stating, “It’s all fun and jokes, but fake drinks left me hospitalised for most of this year.”
