Suspected Bandits’ Informant Arrested in Benue
A suspected informant for bandits has been apprehended by the Benue Volunteer Security Guard in Ohimini Local Government Area.
The suspect, arrested on Tuesday, is believed to be an accomplice connected to kidnappers operating along the Ankpechi-Egwanokwu corridor of the area. His capture followed two weeks of intensive surveillance and tracking by the security team in Ohimini LGA.
Identified as an indigene of Edumoga in Okpokwu Local Government Area (name withheld), the suspect is currently in custody and has reportedly provided valuable information during interrogation.
Owoicho Odeh, the commandant of the Volunteer Security Guard, confirmed the arrest and praised the dedication of his team in addressing the region’s security concerns. He also assured the public that effective measures are being implemented to dismantle the kidnapping network and restore peace to the community.
