Stakeholders In Agricultural Sector Begins New Move To Strengthen Sector

Strengthening and rejiging the Agricultural Sector through commodity Associations were the topmost discussion of the sensitization meeting put together by Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment inconjunction with Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association in Nigeria FACAN.

In a presentation, Mr. Irimiya Kaura identified the creation of sustainable crafted leadership recruitment, and succession planning process as the key factor to strengthen commodity associations.

The event which gathered over forty representatives of commodity also had Hon. Aimu Foni, president of National Groundnuts Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria NGROPPMAN in attendance. Others include; Mr. Robert Ekemita, Mr. Adebayo Adeniyi. Jenifer, Abdulralsheed.

On his part, Hon. Aimu Foni expressed readiness in actualizing the diversification of Nigeria’s economy through mass production of groundnuts.

In a statement made available to the media desk, he thanked the FACAN president Dr. Yama Victor and organizers of the sensitization meeting as resolutions were made to look into the internal ranglings befacing NGROPPMAN.
