Al-Ittihad staged a stunning comeback to defeat Al-Nassr 3-2 in a thrilling Saudi Pro League encounter on Wednesday, edging closer to clinching the championship title.


Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Al-Nassr with a clinical finish in the third minute, before setting up Ayman Yahya to double the lead just before halftime.


However, Al-Ittihad mounted an impressive fightback in the second half, with Karim Benzema pulling a goal back in the 49th minute. N’Golo Kante equalized soon after with a well-taken goal, before Houssem Aouar sealed the win with a dramatic late winner in added time.


The victory takes Al-Ittihad to 71 points, six clear of second-placed Al-Hilal with just four games remaining. For Al-Nassr, the loss deals a significant blow to their AFC Champions League hopes, dropping them to fourth with 60 points.
