France World Cup winner Paul Pogba has officially signed a two-year contract with AS Monaco, marking his return to competitive football following a lengthy doping suspension.
The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder was provisionally suspended in 2023 after testing positive during a routine doping control conducted following Juventus’ opening Serie A fixture against Udinese. Pogba was subsequently handed a four-year ban, but following a successful appeal, the sanction was reduced to 18 months in October 2024.
Having mutually terminated his contract with Juventus in November 2024, Pogba became a free agent and has been eligible to resume his career since March 2025.
The move to Monaco represents a fresh start for the 31-year-old, who will look to reignite his career in Ligue 1, the league where he never previously played professionally despite being a product of the French football system.

The midfielder has signed a 2-season deal and is now tied to the Club until 30th June 2027 🆕” the club said on X
The signing is expected to bring both experience and flair to the Monaco midfield as they aim to challenge for domestic and European honours in the upcoming seasons.
