NYM Charges Rivers State Administrator to Prioritize Youth Empowerment

In a congratulatory message, the Nigerian Youth Movement (NYM) has welcomed Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe (Rtd.) as the newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State. The group, which represents youth interests across the state’s 23 local government areas, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting the administrator with this critical responsibility.

The NYM expressed optimism about the administrator’s ability to navigate the challenges ahead, citing his resilience and experience as essential qualities for the role. However, they also urged him to prioritize key issues affecting the state’s youth, including job creation, youth empowerment, improved security, and focused development in the long-overlooked Riverine communities.

“We commend President Tinubu for this appointment and assure the administrator of our commitment to supporting his efforts to address these pressing issues,” said the group’s message. “Together, we can build a brighter future for Rivers State.”

Your Excellency,

The Nigerian Youth Movement NYMA is adrenaline on your appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to steer the affairs and champion a peace move that will mitigate break down of law and order in our beloved Rivers State.

As a foremost group responsible in the youth activities across the state, we urge you not to be deterred or distracted in the discharge of your duties.

Your appointment at this crucial time is not only vital but deeply appreciated by the youths across the 23 local government Areas.

However Sir, the road ahead may present challenges, but your resilience and experience are exactly what our state needs to navigate these times.

Furthermore, we respectfully appeal to your esteemed office to prioritize job creation, youth empowerment, improved security, and most importantly, focused development in our long-overlooked Riverine communities. These areas, rich in potential and heritage, deserve intentional attention and sustainable investment.

Finally, as citizens committed to the progress of Rivers State, we are poised to any move that will retain peace in our dear State.
