Edo Queens pulled off an incredible comeback to defeat Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies 2-1 in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Nigerian club scored two crucial goals in the dying minutes of the game, with Emem Essien equalizing in the 95th minute (90’+5) and Mary Mamudu sealing the win in the 100th minute (90’+11) . This thrilling victory knocked the defending champions out of the competition and secured Edo Queens’ spot in the semi-finals.

The match was intense, with Mamelodi Sundowns taking the lead in the 24th minute through Melinda Kgadiete’s goal, assisted by Karabo Dlamini ¹. However, Edo Queens’ late surge changed the course of the game.
