Ndidi And Iheanacho Nominated For Leicester City’s Best Player Awards

Nigerian duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho have been nominated for Leicester City’s Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards respectively.

Both players were nominated for both categories of the award according to the Leicester City website.

Ndidi, who arrived Leicester from Belgian Jupiler League side KRC Genk and had won the Leicester City young player of the season award for the last two seasons – 2016/2017, 2017/2018, is nominated for ‘Player of the Year.’ Others in the race for the award are Daniel Amartey, Nampalys Mendy, Wes Morgan, Danny Simpson, Rachid Ghezzal, Shinji Okazaki, Harry Maguire, Filip Benkovi?, Matty James, Ricardo Pereira, Adrien Silva and Ça?lar Söyüncü

The combative midfielder has made 34 Premier League appearances this season and scored two goals.

Iheanancho, who has struggled for form since his move from Manchester City has managed only one goal in 28 premier league games this season. Despite that, he is nominated for ‘Young Player of the Year’ award, and faces competition from Demarai Gray, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans, Ben Chilwell, James Maddison, Filip Benkovi?, Ça?lar Söyüncü and Hamza
