Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a stern warning to Tanzanian media personality Mange Kimambi, demanding that her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, be left out of ongoing political and media controversies.
The drama began when Kimambi took to social media to criticize Priscilla Ojo and her husband for flaunting their luxurious wedding celebrations during a politically tense period in Tanzania. Kimambi accused the young couple of being tone-deaf and benefiting from affiliations with the ruling Tanzanian government.
In a fiery response, Priscilla, known for her growing influence in fashion and lifestyle, didn’t hold back. She fired back on social media, calling out critics and branding them “idiots” for dragging her personal life into political discourse.
However, it was her mother, Iyabo Ojo, who delivered the most forceful response. Taking to her Instagram, the Nollywood star wrote:
“Keep my daughter out of your affairs. She is not your mate, and neither is she part of your country’s political scene. Focus on your issues and leave my daughter out of your bitterness.”
Ojo’s defense of her daughter has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms in both Nigeria and Tanzania. Many fans applauded the actress for standing up for her family, while others debated the responsibilities of public figures during times of national crisis.
As of now, neither Priscilla nor her husband has responded further, and Iyabo Ojo has made it clear that her family will not be dragged into foreign political battles.
