The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a special mop-up examination for candidates who missed the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, this fresh mop-up exam will provide a second chance for the estimated 5.6% of candidates who were unable to sit for the exam, regardless of the reasons for their absence.

All candidates who missed the 2025 UTME, irrespective of the reason for their absence, are eligible for the mop-up exam.

The exam is designed as a placement test to rank candidates for limited admission slots, not to measure intelligence or academic potential.
