Enugu House Of Assembly Member Dumps Labour Party, Joins PDP

The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Umuaro Ward, Isi Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, have received the member, representing Isi Uzo State Constituency, Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Gabriel Lebechi Ezeh into the party.

The lawmaker, who officially, defected to the PDP from Labour party on Tuesday, during the plenary of the state assembly, was received by the leaders of the party in the council.

Addressing the party faithfuls, Hon. Ezeh said, he feel at-home owing to the enormity of love shown to him by the party faithfuls.

He stated that, PDP in Isi Uzo Local Government Area, has all it takes, to win any election owing to the outstanding achievements made by the administration of Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah.

He further emphasized that his decision to join the PDP was not influenced by pressure but by his conviction that the party remains the most organized and people-oriented political platform in the state.

Hon. Ezeh also pledged to work closely with stakeholders in the ward and beyond, to ensure that the party remains strong, vibrant, and ready to secure victory in future elections.

Addressing the gathering, the Local Government Chairman of the party, Hon. Jacob Abonyi said, it is time for the party to unite and forge ahead as it has become one.

He called on every stakeholder in the ward and Isi Uzo at large, to embrace peace and harmony, stressing that with collective support, the PDP will continue to grow stronger and more rooted in the grassroots.

In their various remarks, the immediate past chairman of the party in Enugu State, Hon Augustine Nnamani and the immediate past Guber candidate of the Labour Party, Hon Barr Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga, said, the party has been receiving numerous encomium from the people because of sterling works done by the Governor, who has made it more attractive.

Hon. Augustine Nnamani pointed out that the PDP remains a trusted platform through which the hopes and aspirations of the people can be realized.

Barr. Chijioke Edeoga who also defected to PDP from Labour Party days ago noted that the return of Hon. Gabriel Lebechi was a big boost to the party’s strength in Isi Uzo, and expressed hope that more political actors will follow suit.

They both assured that the PDP family will continue to support Governor Mbah’s people-oriented programmes, while urging party members to stay focused and dedicated to the task ahead.
