The federal high court abuja division has ordered that four bank accounts allegedly linked to the immediate-past group chief executive officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, should be temporarily frozen.
Justice Emeka Nwite gave the order after counsel to the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC), Ogechi UJam, moved an ex-parte motion to that effect.
The EFCC informed the court that the application was based on ongoing investigations into some alleged fraudulent transactions, concerning the former NNPC GCEO.
