The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced a new Vice Chancellor following a highly competitive and dramatic selection process. Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya has been named the new Vice Chancellor of the institution, marking a historic moment for the university.

Prof. Ortuanya, a renowned professor of law, becomes the first indigenous Vice Chancellor of UNN in its over 60-year history. The development was confirmed late Sunday via a Facebook post by a legal expert who has been closely following the selection process.
