A young lady was found dèad in an Abuja hotel, kneeling by the bed, with her hands tied behind.
She was said to have checked into the hotel with a man on Monday around 1pm.
A witness simply identified as Ifeanyi said the lady checked into the hotel located at the 3rd Avenue, Gwarimpa on Monday, night with a yet to be identified young man in the area.
He said the lady was later discovered lifeless, on Tuesday, morning after the hotel cleaner went to clean the room but discovered that the door of the hotel room was locked outside.
He said the cleaner, who knocked the door severally without any response, immediately alerted the one of the staff who came and forced the door and discovered the lady’s hands tied to her back.
He said he the lady’s mouth was also tied with a small cloth, adding that the hotel staff picked his phone and recorded the lady, before alerting the police.
The source said the police later arrived the hotel and evacuated her to the morgue.
Meanwhile, the FCT police command spokeswoman SP Adeh Josephine, who confirmed the incident, said preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, later identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, a female from Benue State, checked into a hotel located at 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on 16th June, 2025, in the company of an unidentified male who was later observed to have exited the premises without her.
She said the lady was confirmed dead upon up on arrival at the hospital for medical evaluation.
“And while the investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police CP Ajao Saka Adewale, urged members of the public to remain calm and allow the Police to carry out a comprehensive inquiry,” she said.
She advised young ladies to exercise caution in their interactions, especially with unfamiliar individuals, and to always share their whereabouts with trusted friends or family members for safety purposes.

FCT POLICE COMMAND LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO VIRAL VIDEO OF UNCONSCIOUS LADY FOUND IN GWARIMPA HOTEL
The FCT Police Command is aware of a disturbing viral video showing a young woman found unconscious with her hands tied behind her in a hotel room located in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.
In swift response to the tragic incident, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim, later identified as Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, a female from Benue State, checked into a hotel located at 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on 16th June, 2025, in the company of an unidentified male who was later observed to have exited the premises without her.
The victim was discovered unconscious by hotel staff during routine service rounds, prompting immediate notification to the Police. She was confirmed dead upon medical evaluation.
While the investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police urges members of the public to remain calm and allow the Police to carry out a comprehensive inquiry.
The Commissioner advises young ladies to exercise caution in their interactions, especially with unfamiliar individuals, and to always share their whereabouts with trusted friends or family members for safety purposes.
He also calls on hotel operators to strengthen internal security protocols, including mandatory identity verification for guests and the installation of functional surveillance systems to aid both deterrence and investigation.
The Command commiserates with the family of the deceased and assures that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.
