Self Acclaimed African giant and Grammy Awards winner, Burna Boy in an official announcement on his social media platform on Thursday, May 2, 2024, confirmed that his concert in the Netherlands which was scheduled to take place at the Johan Cruijff Arena, 55,000 capacity stadium which allows as high as 71,000 people for concerts, on June 9, 2024, has been cancelled.

The singer confirmed that the reason behind his decision to cancel his concert at the venue was because the organisers of the concert had failed to meet their contracted obligations ahead of the concert. He however confirmed that all tickets purchased would be refunded within 30 days of the purchase.
This isn’t the first time Burna Boy aka ODG has cancelled a concert. He initially cancelled his Love Damini concert in the Netherlands back in November 2023 as well.
Burna Boy confirmed on Instagram that he cancelled the show due to “a number of reasons.” Although he was looking forward to performing for his Dutch fans, he stated that another date for the event would be announced.
Burna Boy was named as one of TIME‘s 100 most influential people of 2024, which was announced on Wednesday (April 17).
