Nigerian International afro-beat singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido announced a reward of $10,000 USD (approximately N8 million Naira) to a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, for returning customer’s money.
BONA NAIJA learnt that Ms Ngozi Mary has been celebrated for being honest, which made her to return misplaced $70,000 to a customer at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary Reacting to a post, Davido quoted a tweet by Nigerian announcing that someone should locate the lady for him, announcing that he has a $10,000 reward for her honesty and Integrity.
“Find her for me … I donate $10k”, Davido tweeted.
Before DAVIDO’s donation, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi had said that Ms Ngozi should be conferred with a national honour for her action, noting that her type represents the new Nigeria he is pushing for.
According to Peter Obi, Ms Ngozi’s type is rare, going by the hardship in the country, she showed nothing but honesty and Integrity by returning what does not belong to her.
“It is heartwarming and reassuring that despite the hardship in the country and the prevailing moral decadence in society, a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, was reported to have returned a misplaced sum of $70,000 to a customer of the hotel in Lagos. “When will Nigeria start celebrating the likes of Miss Ngozi Mary for her honesty and integrity, Teacher Akeem Badru, for winning the 2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award, and many others like them?
“These are the people who deserve to be given national honours and awards and recognition, instead of celebrating those who have impacted our nation negatively. In the New Nigeria that we desire, these are the kind of people that will be celebrated. A New Nigeria is POssible.” Obi tweeted.
However Ms Ngozi was filmed praying for Davido after receiving the gift, which Davido quoted on his tweet with a caption ” needed the prayer “
