An unconfirmed number of persons have been reportedly shot dead following a bloody confrontation between members of the Indegenous People of Biafra and the Nigeria Police
According to eyewitness members of the group were having a meeting when men of the Nigeria police turned up in numbers and opened fire indiscriminately.

The incident, we gathered, is happend at the Emene axis of the city, and commuters are being turned away from the road.
The road from Oye Emene to Eke has also been blocked at Ukwu Mango Bus Stop.
Many of those reported dead include Okada Riders and Keen Napep operators who formed part of the group. Efforts to communicate with the spokesperson of the Enugu state police command have proven abortive as all known contacts are unreachable.
