Railway security staff have been overwhelmed by angry passengers at the Idu train station in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The incident happened on Friday, just two days to Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
According to Channels Television the passengers forcefully made their way into the station to board the train heading for Rigasa in Kaduna State.
Some of the passengers explained that they got to the station early enough to purchase tickets for the trip.
They, however, alleged that some officials of the railway station were involved in ticket racketeering and hoarding, an act that led to the rowdy situation.
