US Polls: Joe Biden launches transition website

Joe Biden, presidential candidate of Democratic Party in the US election, has launched a transition website.

Although votes are still being counted in many states, the Democrat believes that he will win the election.

The website,www.buildbackbetter.com, has a home page with the photograph of Biden and a statement affirming his desire to hit “the ground running from day one” of  his administration.

“Votes are still being counted in several states around the country,” the statement read.

“The crises facing the country are severe – from a pandemic to an economic recession, climate change to racial injustice.

“The transition team will continue preparing at full speed so that the Biden-Harris Administration can hit the ground running on Day one.”

On Wednesday, Biden said he is confident that his party will secure the required electoral votes to win the race while thanking Americans for their support.

He currently has 264 electoral college votes while President Donald Trump, his rival, has 213 electoral votes.

A minimum of 270 votes are needed to win the election.
