No fewer than four persons including two female suicide bombers have been confirmed dead while five others sustained various degrees of injuries.
They were killed in suicide bomb attacks on thursday night at Muna Galti in Jere local government area of Borno state.
A statement issued to newsmen, by the Borno state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edet Okon, said the two female suicide bombers who attempted to infiltrate a crowd on sighting security operatives, hurriedly detonated their improvised explosive devices killing themselves and two other people.
Normalcy has since been restored in the area.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu urged the general public not to panic but to go about their lawful businesses without fear or apprehension.
