Twitter deletes Shatta Wale’s ‘rape’ tweet

Popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter has deleted a tweet by Ghana’s Shatta Wale.
During an ultercation with Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Shatta seemingly admitted to rapping someone. He also accused Burna of rape as well.
His tweet read; “Because he is a rapist, He is jealous I did same to his girl. Cuz that’s his job, Raping jealousy”.
However, Twitter has moved in and deleted the tweet which kinda promotes rape. Obviously, that is against Twitter’s rules and guidelines.
The altercation between Burna and Shatta seems to be brewing. As we speak, Burna Boy is in Ghana.
Recall that Twitter also deleted President Buhari’s tweet last year. Responding to that, the Nigerian givernment banned the social media site and is yet to reinstate.
This has cause a lot of friction between the government and civil right groups.
Meanwhile, Nigerian still access the site using VPN.
