Trump leaves Manhattan criminal courtroom after historic arraignment
Former US President, Donald Trump has left the Manhattan criminal court after his historic arraignment on Tuesday.
He had pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of criminal charges slammed on him in a Manhattan Court.
The charges stem from an investigation into a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Trump made no comment and ignored questions from reporters.
A motorcade escorted Trump away from the courthouse in Lower Manhattan now, after he ignored questions from reporters on his way out.
The former president spent over 50 minutes in the Manhattan courtroom.
He’s scheduled to make his way to Mar-a-Lago, where he is expected him to make a statement.
The former US President was indicted last Thursday by the Manhattan Grand Jury and he was the first former president to be so indicted.
Trump officially became the first former president to face criminal charges Tuesday when he was arraigned.
