In a landmark ruling, the House of Representatives tribunal has sacked Rt. Hon. Simon Atigwe, the member representing Igboeze North/Udenu federal constituency, and declared Hon. Dennis Agbo of the Labour Party as the rightful winner of the election.

The tribunal’s decision, delivered on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, found that the election was marred by irregularities, including wrong computation of results and substantial non-compliance to the electoral act.
