Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has unveiled her highly anticipated fourth studio album, “This One Is Personal ” a 15-track body of work that captures her rawest emotions yet.

Blending love, heartbreak, faith, and healing, the album reveals a deeply vulnerable side of the singer-songwriter.

Speaking with Apple Music, Savage described it as her most personal project to date:

“It’s the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on a record. Every single record resonates with an experience I’ve gone through. It took two years for me to do this record.”

A Journey Through Love, Pain & Renewal

Recorded across different parts of the world, the project feels like pages from Tiwa’s diary. She admits that the songs were born during a difficult chapter of her life, but putting them together was also a form of therapy.

Keeping the guest list intentionally small, the album features just three collaborators Skepta, Taves, and James Fauntleroy allowing her voice, storytelling, and vulnerability to shine through.

Highlights From This One Is Personal

The project moves seamlessly between intimate piano ballads, mid-tempo grooves, and confessional songwriting. Standout moments include:

  • “I’m Done” – a haunting, piano-driven ballad.
  • “10%” – a narrative-rich track full of raw honesty.
  • “You’re Not the First (You’re Just the Worst)” – one of her most unfiltered songs yet.
  • “Pray No More” – a reimagining of prayer and self-reflection.
  • “Change” – a soulful track reflecting on her relationship with God.

Preceded by singles “You4Me” and “On the Low” featuring Skepta, the album flows like a diary of emotions, balancing pain with hope.

Tiwa Savage’s Emotional Announcement

Sharing the news with fans on X (formerly Twitter), Savage wrote:

“You guys… my album is finally out. I honestly can’t put into words the emotions I’m feeling right now. This project is so close to my heart, and I poured every part of me into it. I just pray you receive it with the same love I created it with.”

With This One Is Personal, Tiwa Savage reaffirms her place as one of Afrobeats’ most fearless storytellers an artist unafraid to strip away the glamour and share her truth.
