Former minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva, has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Bayelsa.
Ahmed Jibrin, chairman of the election committee, announced the result of the primary at the APC state secretariat in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.
Sylva scored 52,061 votes to defeat five other contestants.
