Some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in Enugu State have asked the public to disregard news of their purported suspension.

Four members were reportedly suspended during a meeting presided over by the State Chairman, Ben Nwoye.

Speaking on behalf of others, Princess Ada Ogbu declared that Nwoye cannot sanction them because he acted after his removal from the position.

“I heard Ben Nwoye suspended me, Eugene Odo, El-Ajah and Flavour Eze. Ben is already suspended and he cannot act as chairman again,” she said.

Ogbu pointed out that a vote of no confidence passed on Nwoye is subsisting.

She said Nwoye was the only chairman in Nigeria that allegedly declared people winners on his own and got them sworn in to run party affairs.

“He has no power to do that. Everyone knows that Ben is up to something. He’s playing a script written by someone,” she added.

The politician maintained that Nwoye’s action was an afterthought that cannot stand.

“It’s impossible. Ben is suspended, nobody has quashed it. He cannot suspend me, he cannot suspend anyone,” she insisted.

Ogbu said anyone taking Nwoye seriously is a gullible mind, adding that the party is busy preparing for the local government congress and how to reposition the state chapter.
