Popular Nigerian singer Lil Kesh has been hospitalized after being attacked by unknown assailants in Lagos.

The incident, which reportedly occurred late Tuesday night, left the “Shoki” crooner with severe injuries after he was stabbed in the neck. Part of his ear was also said to have been severed during the assault but has since been successfully stitched back by doctors.

Eyewitnesses allege that the attackers carted away the artist’s jewelry and other valuables before fleeing the scene.

Following the attack, Lil Kesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention. Sources close to the singer say he is in stable condition and responding to treatment.
