BONA NAIJAAmerican singer Robin Thicke has proposed to his fiancée, April Love Geary, for the second time.
The proposal took place on May 25, 2025, at the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.
Thicke, 48, got down on one knee and surprised Geary, 30, with a new custom-made engagement ring, crafted by her friend Nikki from Established Jewelry.
On Sunday (May 25), Geary, who’s a model, posted an Instagram carousel with Thicke proposing to her at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.
Thicke first proposed to his wife-to-be on Christmas Day 2018 and the couple share three children Mia, 7, Lola, 6, and Luca, 4.
The R&B artist shares his first child, Julian, 15, with his ex-wife, actress Paula Patton. The former spouses divorced in 2015 after ten years of marriage.
In her Instagram caption, Geary praised the newest engagement ring that Thicke gifted her, writing that she’s “obsessed with it.”
“This trip was such a dream. 🤍 I love you so much @robinthicke,” Geary continued.
Thicke’s first proposal to Geary in 2018 took place among family and friends during an intimate holiday event.
The couple began dating shortly after Thicke’s separation from Patton in 2014, and in the same year, the actress filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Although Thicke released seventh album Paula in dedication to his then-wife, the musician would later assert on podcast Drink Champs that he wasn’t trying to win her back.
“I tried to sell the idea of getting her back, but I wasn’t actually working on getting her back at the time. Because we were already done,” Thicke explained around the 1:30-minute mark of the video below.
“I wrote the songs in real time. I wrote the whole album in maybe two months.” He continued, “But I knew we weren’t going to be back together and that was okay. … We grew apart and that’s just something you have to respect instead of take as an L.”
