Porthacourt – Aba Train Operations To Begin Soon – NRC

The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced that train operations from Port Harcourt to Aba will commence soon following the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Eastern-Narrow-Gauge Railway.

Managing Director Freeborn Okhoria mentioned that efforts are underway to deliver the project, with a timeline being established for operations to start.

The plan includes fixing point machines and considering an extension to Umuahia and Enugu in the future.

Okhoria emphasized the importance of preventing vandalism and urged people to refrain from encroaching on the rail line.

Security measures are being implemented to safeguard the project against potential vandals.
