Ondo Decides: PDP Candidate Accuses INEC Of Compromise
Hon. Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State, finally cast his vote after a 10-minute struggle with the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) at his polling unit.
Ajayi expressed his dissatisfaction with the exercise, stating that the system is not perfect and that things are not working as they should. He also accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of deliberately compromising the system, citing his lack of trust in the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Olatoyin Babalola.
This isn’t the only report of BVAS malfunctioning in the ongoing election. The PDP had earlier complained about faulty BVAS machines in some polling units, which delayed the commencement of voting .
