Nigeria’s D-Tigress beat Senegal 84-74 to win the 2023 Women’s AfroBasket

Nigeria’s D’Tigress on Saturday defeated Senegal in the final of the 2023 women’s Afrobasket championship.

The Rena Wakama-coached ladies defeated the Senegalese 84-74 at the BK Arena, Kigali, Rwanda.

The victory makes Nigeria the second African country to win the women’s Afrobasket title four times in a row (2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023).

They are ranked no. 1 in Africa and no. 16 in the world by FIBA.
