HE Mr. Abdelmalek KETTANI: Ambassador of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Cote d’Ivoire.’
Abdelmalek KETTANI is Ambassador of Morocco in Ivory Coast since 2016. Previously entrepreneur, and head of companies, he has also been a prominent civil society leader and a politician engaged in his country for more than 20 years. Graduate of HEC Montreal and Georgetown University (DC), he is a diplomat of great finesse and humility, brand great personalities.
Its mission is to work for the permanent consolidation of political relations between the two countries, but, above all, to ensure the realization of the various economic and social projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco in Ivory Coast since 2013.
On the economic front, Morocco was the biggest investor in Ivory Coast in 2015. It is now one of the top 3 private investors with 313 million euros (205 billion CFA) mobilized in the sectors of new technologies agro industry, pharmaceutical industry, training … according to the expertise of CEPICI (Center for Investment Promotion in Cote d’Ivoire).
The Moroccan community of 5,500 people: traders, executives, industrialists, artisans…is well integrated in Cote d’Ivoire before independence.
On the political level: His Majesty the King of Morocco maintains excellent relations of trust and fraternity with President Alassane OUATTARA which has brought the relationship between the two countries to an exceptional level in several fields.
After a decade of strengthening diplomatic relations on the continent, culminating in its return to the AU (African Union), Morocco continues to work for its possible accession to ECOWAS (Economic Community of African States of Africa). With confident of the quality of its contribution to this economic community in the future.
On the cultural level: The Moroccan Embassy through its cultural service supports and supports several events and cultural initiatives of Ivorian operators and actors.
As part of the SIMOA (International Fair of African Fashion) to be held from 6th to 8th November at Abidjan in Cote d’Ivoire where Morocco is the country of honor, one of its greatest designers Karim TASSI will show its expertise and its expertise, to give a greater dimension to this meeting of African fashion.
