Minister Vows Action in Alleged Child Defilement Case

Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has condemned the alleged defilement of two sisters, aged eight and three, and vowed to ensure justice is served.

According to reports, the incident occurred in an undisclosed location, involving a neighbor of the victims. The Minister expressed outrage and sadness over the alleged crime, emphasizing her commitment to protecting the rights and safety of children.

“We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrator faces the full weight of the law,” Kennedy-Ohanenye stated. “The protection of our children is non-negotiable, and we will work tirelessly to prevent such heinous acts.”

“As long as sexual harassment and assault continues to happen, and as long as people out there still think it is even slightly okay, then everyone is still in danger of this happening to them.The world today is changing, but unfortunately, sexual assault is still happening every single day. I promise to continue fighting.“

The Minister called on law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and apprehend the suspect. She also urged the public to report any instances of child abuse or exploitation to the relevant authorities.

Kennedy-Ohanenye reaffirmed her ministry’s dedication to combating violence against children and women, promoting awareness, and supporting victims’ families.
