The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a statement alerting the public of planned protests scheduled for June 12, 2024, coinciding with Democracy Day celebrations. The protests, allegedly orchestrated by certain individuals and groups, aim to incite violence and undermine national security.
While acknowledging citizens’ rights to assembly and expression, the DSS emphasizes that these freedoms should not compromise public safety. The agency urges citizens to resist any attempts to engage in lawless behavior and instead channel grievances through appropriate channels.

The DSS reaffirms its commitment to protecting the country from harmful acts and maintaining peace, in collaboration with other security agencies. Law-abiding citizens are encouraged to go about their daily activities without fear.
