Denying Intimacy, Not Access

Through her legal representatives, Sophia clarified that she only denied Davido access to her body, not their daughter. She alleged that Davido has been threatening to make her life miserable since she ended their relationship in July 2022.

Abandonment and Neglect Allegations

Sophia claimed that Davido abandoned Imade for over two years, failing to provide financial support or even acknowledge special occasions like birthdays and Christmas. She alleged that she has solely borne the expenses for their daughter’s care, including rent, living costs, healthcare, and education.

Legal Efforts

Sophia revealed that she initiated legal efforts two years ago to establish a formal co-parenting arrangement, but Davido and his team refused to cooperate. Instead, she alleged that they sought to discredit and isolate her and their daughter using Davido’s social influence.

Davido’s Lawsuit

Davido had filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of Imade, claiming Sophia rejected a N200 million apartment he purchased for their daughter’s care. He also alleged that Sophia demanded $800 monthly for a nanny, totaling $19,600 per year.
